Advanced Window Systems Against Blast Effects
Dynashield is a blast-resistant glass which is able to withstand very high levels of blast and ballistic effects. Dynasystems Blast Film is designed to maintain window debris/glass shards together in the event of a blast, therefore reducing the level of risk to the building occupants.
The Dynasystems Blast Film, when applied with additional accessories such as the No-Bar system, significantly increases the resistance of the glazed elements to the effects of blast loading and forced entry.

Blast Window Retrofit – Dynashield No-Bar
A unique blast film anchoring system, easily installed on site, enabling the maximum use of the blast film’s tensile properties to resist blast pressures acting on the glazed surface.
The upgrade of an existing window pane to resist blast pressures can be performed on site without dismantling the window from the wall. A regular window can be retrofitted within an hour.
Blast film is frequently applied on glass surfaces to reduce the risk from shattered fragments. Without anchoring the blast film to the window frame the glass pane itself can fly inwards. This increases the probability of injuries occurring from the blast wave leaking into the building and by the flying window pane itself. By harnessing the blast film to the window frame the window becomes a membrane which absorbs the blast loadings. Numerous blast tests have proven that Dynasystems No-Bar anchorage system provides the highest blast resistant performance achievable when applying a glazing coating solution.
The anchoring profiles are designed to blend architecturally with the existing window by creating another trim line in the frame. The anchoring profile cover is finished to match the existing frame colour thus becoming an integral part of the window system.
Dynasystems No-Bar solution has been extensively tested and proven to provide a much higher protection level than the highest GSA level D. Blast film without the No Bar system is known to perform only up to GSA level C.
Dynashield Clear-Bar System
A catch system comprised of ultra clear polycarbonate ‘bars.’ The system is easily installed on site and can retrofit an existing window against the effects of blast by preventing the glazed pane from shattering and flying inwards. It also provides an effective barrier against break-in attempts even after a blast incident.
The system can be manufactured for any type and size of window, and it is delivered to site completely ready for installation. The retrofit of a window can therefore be completed within 30 minutes. It is anchored through an aluminum frame to the building itself.
The polycarbonate bars are able to provide significant protection against forced entry. This is achieved by a specially designed mechanism encapsulated in the aluminum frame that prevents any tampering with the system’s bolts and internal parts.
Dynashield Cable-Catch System
Dynashield Cable-Catch system is a unique high performance retrofit solution that can be designed to fit any size of window. The high blast resistant performance of the system is achieved by the proprietary designed Energy Absorbing Units (EAU) located at the cable anchoring points.
The upgrade of an existing window pane can be performed on site, without dismantling the window from the wall. A regular window can be retrofitted within an hour.
Due to the proprietary and patented EAU design, the Cable Catch system can resist extremely high blast loads compared to any other available retrofit solution
Blast and Ballistic Windows
Dynasystems Blast and Ballistic window systems provide the highest performance currently available in blast and ballistic mitigation technologies.
The window systems unique performance is achieved by the incorporation of an energy absorbing mechanism as part of the window framing system. This advanced technology allows for the window to resist pressures and impulses emanating from an explosion event to a level that is higher than 200mm reinforced concrete walls with only 23mm of glass.
This unique technology has been developed over the last seven years and was tested and certified by the US TSWG, CoE and other governmental organisations.
Dynasystems window systems are currently installed in numerous high profile installations worldwide. These include embassies, military bases and perimeter towers, UN headquarters and sensitive private installations such as airports and corporate headquarters.
The Dynatower windows are manufactured as bespoke elements based on the project requirements. Window specifications can range as follows:

Dynasystems Polymer Armour
Ultra High-Strength Elastomer
Dynashield Polymer is state-of-the-art, high-performance, sprayed, plural component pure polyurea elastomer. This system is based on amine-terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders and MDI prepolymers. It provides a flexible, resilient, tough, monolithic membrane that can be used for blast and ballistic protection
Dynashield Polymer Armour is a specially designed composite which is applied onto the receiver surface to which it bonds, being built up in layers until the required thickness/ protection level is reached.
Dynashield Polymer Armour has undergone an extensive trials regime and has been shown to significantly reduce the blast and ballistic threat to vehicles, buildings and other elements by:
dissipating and reflecting blast energy
increasing bending strength
sealing entry holes.
This polymer armour also has high utility in strengthening buildings vulnerable to earthquake damage and as an extremely hard-wearing protective coating.

During an explosion, one of the greatest threats is from fragmentation and spalling. In many parts of the world, the most common unreinforced construction technique for the exterior of buildings is to use steel or concrete frames to support the weight of the building and then fill the open areas with stacked brick or concrete blocks to form the walls. When overloaded by air-blast, unreinforced walls typically fracture into pieces that are propelled at high velocity into the interior of the structure causing severe injury and death.
Dynashield Polymer provides an elastic coating that bonds to the wall to form a tough elastic membrane that can dissipate the blast energy and contain the debris. Dynashield Polymer can be sprayed directly onto the interior surface of the wall and cures almost instantly providing a cheap, versatile solution.
Blast testing by TSWG showed that although the exterior face of the concrete block wall was shattered, the interior faces of the blocks remained adhered to the polymer liner. The polymer liner remained intact and effectively contained the fragmentation from the fractured blocks.
Barrier Lift System
Barrier Lift Systems (BLS) provide reliable high-security against unauthorised vehicle access. Crash-rated BLS will completely destroy the chassis of any vehicles trying to break through. Even high-speeding heavy vehicles will be stopped reliably. This system can be used on its own, or in combination with other products to achieve a sluice arrangement forming a highly secure vehicle check point.
Quick-folding gates are ideally suited to keep your driveways secured. The fast opening and closing speed allows an opening and closing after every entry or exit. They boast speed, stability and are very reliable and low maintenance. Furthermore, no run back area is required.
A quick-folding gate is a perfect substitute for combined sliding gate and barrier installation at an access point. Used in combination with a turnstile it creates a vehicle access point with pedestrian separation.
These motorized platforms provide an effective method of securely controlling vehicle access to restricted areas as an alternative to a rising arm barrier or sliding gate. They are ideal for industrial or commercial sites where larger vehicles operate, providing a visual and physical deterrent to vehicle drivers.
In combination with other products a road blocker can form a sluice for vehicle check points.
Depending on the security requirements, there are a number of different movable or fixed bollards available for perimeter security. Pedestrians may enter unhindered but vehicle traffic is stopped.
All bollards feature robust construction with heavy gauge material and high tensile steel. Due to their modern design the crash bollards can be used in inner city surroundings for city security and traffic management.

Vehicle control barriers can provide a wide range of security and access control levels, and protect critical infrastructure from hostile vehicle intent, at the highest levels.
They operate similar to a traditional traffic control barrier and have a less aggressive appearance to other forms of HVM solutions and yet deliver a high level of physical protection for an access point.
Anti 'Vehicle As A Weapon' (VAAW) Retractible Bollards
Durable and reliable design
Dynasystems Electro Hydraulic Bollards have been designed to operate under difficult weather conditions as well as operating in a high-capacity traffic scenario, such as entry control points. Furthermore, the innovative engine design allows for complete recovery of a malfunctioning security bollard within 30 minutes, without the need for specially trained engineers. This is achieved by simply removing the damaged piston and replacing it with a new one.
Dynasystems Bollards are available in a variety of different architectural finishes such as zinc, metal or painted. An optional radial LED set can be supplied to ensure that the bollards are visible in all conditions.
Integral traffic control system
Dynasystems bollards can be supplied as complete traffic control sets that include an electric arm barrier, a LED traffic light and front and back loop detectors, all of which can be provided under the greater perimeter security function.
Security through testing
Dynasystems bollards are crash tested to the highest category of impact in accordance with methods and practices approved by NATO, US TSWG and UK MoD amongst others. Furthermore the Dynasystems bollards have undergone impact tests in Russia to certify them against Russian made vehicles, which are widely used in specific high threat areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Dynasystems bollards can be supplied as K12, K8 and K4 (U.S State Department rating).
Tracked Gates are sliding gates designed to stop all threats. Despite its massive construction, it also features an extremely flat foundation. It can be adapted in height and fitted with anti-climbing devices to comply with site-specific requirements.
The gates have advanced technology and are still fully compatible with all access control systems. It’s a flexible solution for all perimeter security access points vulnerable to hostile vehicle attacks. Crash-tested tracked gates afford impact protection and are therefore ideal for all critical infrastructure applications or other designated high risk areas.
Tire killers are designed to destroy vehicles trying to forcibly enter any secured area. If a vehicle attempts to break through, its tyres and axles will be destroyed.
These offer a high degree of protection against unauthorised entry or exit of hostile motor vehicles. If a vehicle attempts to break through, its tires and/or axles will be destroyed depending on the model. Further progress will certainly be prevented.
Tire killers can be used individually or in combination with other products to form a sluice for vehicles. The solid sharp spikes are clearly visible thanks to garish warning colours thus ensuring the stopping of approaching vehicles in good time.
Crash-rated wedge barriers offer maximum security against unauthorised wheeled vehicles of all sizes and weights. They can be installed as a single unit or in combination with other products (e.g. barriers, gates, tire killers or bollards). In combination, it’s possible to realize a sluice arrangement forming a vehicle check point.
In order to meet the ever changing operations both in the military and protection of National Infrastructure fields, it is necessary to have systems which provide the best possible protection.
Dynasystems provides a 2 metre blast resistant barrier which is ideal for compartmentalisation of tented or containerised camps to reduce the effects of indirect fire weapons such as mortars or rockets. This structure is designed to provide mitigation from blast from large detonations as well as from direct explosions. Dynasystems barriers are able to be transported and redeployed if required should a perimeter change in size or shape.

Modular and lightweight
Designed and developed for safe and easy handling. The component parts break down into an easily transportable pack of 155kg (341 lbs).
Designed and optimised with manual handling in mind. Rapid movement and ease of handling along narrow corridors or up stairways or ladders were key to design success. All individual components weigh 20 kg (44 lbs) or less.
Rapid assembly and disassembly for easy re-deployment
Easy to assemble, disassemble and move on to the next required deployment. Average set-up in five minutes in good daylight conditions, or up to 10 minutes in poor night-time conditions. On re-deployment the system can be loaded into a vehicle in less than five minutes.
Suitable for multiple long or short-term/immediate operational roles; vehicle check points, entry control points, port and dockside protection, within buildings and over-watch positions.
Stand-alone and self-supporting
No additional fixings are required to provide small arms protection. Ground anchor pegs and straps are provided to stabilise against the effects of explosive blast.
