Advanced Window Systems Against Blast Effects
Dynashield is a blast-resistant glass which is able to withstand very high levels of blast and ballistic effects. Dynasystems Blast Film is designed to maintain window debris/glass shards together in the event of a blast, therefore reducing the level of risk to the building occupants.
The Dynasystems Blast Film, when applied with additional accessories such as the No-Bar system, significantly increases the resistance of the glazed elements to the effects of blast loading and forced entry.

Blast Window Retrofit – Dynashield No-Bar
A unique blast film anchoring system, easily installed on site, enabling the maximum use of the blast film’s tensile properties to resist blast pressures acting on the glazed surface.
The upgrade of an existing window pane to resist blast pressures can be performed on site without dismantling the window from the wall. A regular window can be retrofitted within an hour.
Blast film is frequently applied on glass surfaces to reduce the risk from shattered fragments. Without anchoring the blast film to the window frame the glass pane itself can fly inwards. This increases the probability of injuries occurring from the blast wave leaking into the building and by the flying window pane itself. By harnessing the blast film to the window frame the window becomes a membrane which absorbs the blast loadings. Numerous blast tests have proven that Dynasystems No-Bar anchorage system provides the highest blast resistant performance achievable when applying a glazing coating solution.
The anchoring profiles are designed to blend architecturally with the existing window by creating another trim line in the frame. The anchoring profile cover is finished to match the existing frame colour thus becoming an integral part of the window system.
Dynasystems No-Bar solution has been extensively tested and proven to provide a much higher protection level than the highest GSA level D. Blast film without the No Bar system is known to perform only up to GSA level C.
Dynashield Clear-Bar System
A catch system comprised of ultra clear polycarbonate ‘bars.’ The system is easily installed on site and can retrofit an existing window against the effects of blast by preventing the glazed pane from shattering and flying inwards. It also provides an effective barrier against break-in attempts even after a blast incident.
The system can be manufactured for any type and size of window, and it is delivered to site completely ready for installation. The retrofit of a window can therefore be completed within 30 minutes. It is anchored through an aluminum frame to the building itself.
The polycarbonate bars are able to provide significant protection against forced entry. This is achieved by a specially designed mechanism encapsulated in the aluminum frame that prevents any tampering with the system’s bolts and internal parts.
Dynashield Cable-Catch System
Dynashield Cable-Catch system is a unique high performance retrofit solution that can be designed to fit any size of window. The high blast resistant performance of the system is achieved by the proprietary designed Energy Absorbing Units (EAU) located at the cable anchoring points.
The upgrade of an existing window pane can be performed on site, without dismantling the window from the wall. A regular window can be retrofitted within an hour.
Due to the proprietary and patented EAU design, the Cable Catch system can resist extremely high blast loads compared to any other available retrofit solution
Blast and Ballistic Windows
Dynasystems Blast and Ballistic window systems provide the highest performance currently available in blast and ballistic mitigation technologies.
The window systems unique performance is achieved by the incorporation of an energy absorbing mechanism as part of the window framing system. This advanced technology allows for the window to resist pressures and impulses emanating from an explosion event to a level that is higher than 200mm reinforced concrete walls with only 23mm of glass.
This unique technology has been developed over the last seven years and was tested and certified by the US TSWG, CoE and other governmental organisations.
Dynasystems window systems are currently installed in numerous high profile installations worldwide. These include embassies, military bases and perimeter towers, UN headquarters and sensitive private installations such as airports and corporate headquarters.
The Dynatower windows are manufactured as bespoke elements based on the project requirements. Window specifications can range as follows:

Ultra High-Strength Elastomer
Dynashield Polymer is state-of-the-art, high-performance, sprayed, plural component pure polyurea elastomer. This system is based on amine-terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders and MDI prepolymers. It provides a flexible, resilient, tough, monolithic membrane that can be used for blast and ballistic protection
Dynashield Polymer Armour is a specially designed composite which is applied onto the receiver surface to which it bonds, being built up in layers until the required thickness/ protection level is reached.
Dynashield Polymer Armour has undergone an extensive trials regime and has been shown to significantly reduce the blast and ballistic threat to vehicles, buildings and other elements by:
dissipating and reflecting blast energy
increasing bending strength
sealing entry holes.

During an explosion, one of the greatest threats is from fragmentation and spalling. In many parts of the world, the most common unreinforced construction technique for the exterior of buildings is to use steel or concrete frames to support the weight of the building and then fill the open areas with stacked brick or concrete blocks to form the walls. When overloaded by air-blast, unreinforced walls typically fracture into pieces that are propelled at high velocity into the interior of the structure causing severe injury and death.
Dynashield Polymer provides an elastic coating that bonds to the wall to form a tough elastic membrane that can dissipate the blast energy and contain the debris. Dynashield Polymer can be sprayed directly onto the interior surface of the wall and cures almost instantly providing a cheap, versatile solution.
Blast testing by TSWG showed that although the exterior face of the concrete block wall was shattered, the interior faces of the blocks remained adhered to the polymer liner. The polymer liner remained intact and effectively contained the fragmentation from the fractured blocks.
Barrier Lift System
The Barrier Lift System (BLS) provides reliable high-security against unauthorised vehicle access. It is vehicle crash-tested to internationally accepted standards. Its reliable and short operation offers an immediate protection against vehicles attempting to break through.
The BLS is available in K4 and K12 crash-tested design for large clear widths of opening of up to 10 m and has also been certified according to PAS 68:2007 V/7500[N3]/80/90:0.0/31.0 (tested at 6 m clear width of opening).
Our crash rated Barrier Lift System (BLS) completely destroys the chassis of any vehicles trying to break through. Even high speeding heavy vehicles will be stopped reliably. The BLS fulfils the highest security level! It can be used individually or in combination with other PPG products to achieve a sluice arrangement forming a highly secure vehicle check point.
It is suited for all climate zones. Thanks to its high-quality material and the proven TRI-PROTECT®long-term corrosion protection it can withstand all kinds of weather. In the lowered position the BLS is level with the road and thereby completely unobtrusive. It corresponds to bridge class SLW 60, to ensure that also the heaviest vehicles can use the entry.
Our EntraQuick® quick-folding gate is a type-tested, trackless bi-hinged gate, which is ideally suited to keep your driveways secured. Its fast opening and closing speed allows an opening and closing after every entry or exit. It boasts speed, stability and is very reliable and low maintenance.
With the TÜV type-tested quick-folding gates EntraQuick® you’ll get a full-height perimeter protection in closed position. Due to its trackless design, it offers unobstructed security for each entry or exit situation. It’s fully cantilevered and has been designed with rationality in mind. The EntraQuick® competes against both sliding gates and boom barriers at the same time!
The quick-folding gates’ extremely high speed allows a quick closing after each passage. This makes it efficiently support smooth workflows in everyday operation! Furthermore, no run back area is required. Because of its solid bar infill and the ingenious lever kinematics, EntraQuick® is particularly stable and doesn’t require an additional floor lock in closed position.
EntraQuick® can be installed easily and quickly thanks to pre-assembled drive post and folding leaf units. It is driven by two AC motors. The gate leaves fold open inwards towards the secure site and each leaf can be opened separately if required.
The quick-folding gates are perfect substitutes for combined sliding gate and barrier installation at access points. There are two models available in different heights and opening widths. Depending on requirements EntraQuick® can easily be combined with other products. In combination with the TurnSec turnstiles it creates a vehicle access point with pedestrian separation.
Road Blocker DSP K12
The Road Blocker DSP® K12 is one of the few road blockers in the market which is useable after impact and has a fully closed design.
Road Blocker DSP® K12 is designed to guarantee the full level of security. A successful crash test per DOS SD-STD-02.01 Rev. A 03/2003 and PAS 68 was carried out with a 7.5 ton truck travelling at 80 km/h. The very first impact test was conducted by the TÜV (German Technical Inspectorate) 30 years ago. Our Road Blocker DSP® K12 can be installed as a single unit.
In combination with other products it can form a sluice for vehicle check points. In operation, the heavy blocking segment raises in approximately five seconds. In the lowered position the road blocker is unobtrusive, flush with the road and capable of supporting wheeled vehicles with a load bearing capacity up to bridge class SLW 60.
The raising time can be reduced to approximately two seconds using an optional accumulator for Emergency Fast Operation (EFO). They block the road with a height of 1000 mm. The blocking segment is clearly visible due to the flashing lights and optional warning stripes. Thus, ensuring the immediate stopping of approaching vehicles. The innovative EntraQuick® PU30 is a single leaf bi-folding gate. It offers ultimate security for vehicle access points due to its ability to provide full height perimeter protection in closed position paired with very short operating times, as well as impact resistance through its unique self-locking arrestor system.
The quick-folding gate EntraQuick® PU30 is an innovative single leaf bi-folding gate. Unlike traditional access control products such as sliding gates and barriers, EntraQuick® PU30 offers ultimate security for vehicle access points. This is due to its ability to provide full height perimeter protection paired with very short operating times. The gate is also extra impact resistant because of the unique self-locking arrestor system.
The arrestor system is designed to prevent forceful entry of a pickup truck travelling at 50 km/h. This is proven by vehicle impact simulation. The gate is designed for continuous operation and is therefore optimal for use at highly frequented locations with higher logistical requirements.
The EntraQuick® PU30 boasts a trackless design. It impresses not only with exceptional sturdiness, but also with its reliability and low maintenance requirements. It is well suited for passage of heavy and large trucks as there is no track or locking facilities in the driveway and no top guide rail limiting the passage height. The gate is securely locked in the closed position via a drive mechanism supported by interlocking of gate leaf and receiving post through in-feed roller and reception fork.

Crash Bollards As Street Furniture
Cost-effective, shallow-mount fixed or removable bollards as street furniture are ideally suited for inner city surroundings.
PPG has completed its product portfolio with the revolutionary vehicle impact tested Safetyflex spring steel bollard systems Carstopper 30, Truckstopper 6-30 and Truckstopper 7-40 which can be used as modern street furniture. These bollards impress by their unique capability to absorb large amounts of energy by acting as a torsion spring, lateral translation spring and lateral bending spring upon impact. Furthermore, the slimline design paired with a shallow installation depth of only 200 mm reduces the need to divert utilities. They come along with aesthetically pleasing shroud options in round, oval or rectangular shape.
Safetyflex bollards are small and easy to install as a stand-alone single unit or in a row of bollards as a straight line or around corners. Available as either fixed or removable type these spring bollards will not require replacing on low impact as they will return to their original position. All these attributes based on an innovative spring technology and a continued focus on protecting public places from vehicular attacks in a less obtrusive manner give these bollards an outstanding market position in the global high security business today.
Truckstopper 6-30 & 7-40
The new TRUCKSTOPPER 7-40 and TRUCKSTOPPER 6-30 both have a small super lightweight base plate and are a technology breakthrough in fixed and removable single shallow footing bollard systems of 200 mm deep, that will stop a 7.5 ton truck at 40 mph or 64 km/h (7-40) or a 7.5 ton truck at 30 mph or 48 km/h (6-30) from breaking through the security line. If access is needed the bollard can be removed in minutes. The 200mm deep shallow single bollards will also reduce the need to re-divert utilities. The systems are the most economical on the market and very aesthetically pleasing.
These bollards are small and easy to install. Their system is designed to follow the contours of the ground and can go around corners. If the posts get damaged during an attack they can be removed from the slipper box and replaced with no need to replace the concrete foundation. Once fitted the only maintenance is to repaint when needed or the bollard can be covered with a mild or stainless steel shroud. Furthermore, the bollards can be hidden in modern street furniture, for example bicycle racks, flower boxes and more.
Anti 'Vehicle As A Weapon' (VAAW) Retractible Bollards
Durable and reliable design
Dynasystems Electro Hydraulic Bollards have been designed to operate under difficult weather conditions as well as operating in a high-capacity traffic scenario, such as entry control points. Furthermore, the innovative engine design allows for complete recovery of a malfunctioning security bollard within 30 minutes, without the need for specially trained engineers. This is achieved by simply removing the damaged piston and replacing it with a new one.
Dynasystems Bollards are available in a variety of different architectural finishes such as zinc, metal or painted. An optional radial LED set can be supplied to ensure that the bollards are visible in all conditions.
Integral traffic control system
Dynasystems bollards can be supplied as complete traffic control sets that include an electric arm barrier, a LED traffic light and front and back loop detectors, all of which can be provided under the greater perimeter security function.
Security through testing
Dynasystems bollards are crash tested to the highest category of impact in accordance with methods and practices approved by NATO, US TSWG and UK MoD amongst others. Furthermore the Dynasystems bollards have undergone impact tests in Russia to certify them against Russian made vehicles, which are widely used in specific high threat areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Nearly all crash barrier accidents happen to authorised gate users, posing significant user peril and owner liability exposure. StrongArm M30 or M50 mitigate this fact by employing many standard safety benefits not offered by competitor operators.
These machines stop a 15,000 lb truck driving 30 mph (and 50 mph respectively) in its tracks. While they protect many key assets, they also protect against accidental injury and death.
The unique dual arm design prevents a large truck or a small passenger vehicle from breaching the security perimeter. Full 90º opening prevents tall vehicles from clipping the arm. Its hydraulics and controls are securely housed in pivot post. No need for expensive trenching and vulnerable external enclosure. They feature a fast arm speed of 6 to 8 seconds, depending on arm length. This reduces traffic backup by minimising gate open time.
Tracked Gate M50
Tracked Gate M50 is a sliding gate designed to stop all threats. Despite its massive construction, it also features an extremely flat foundation. It can be adapted in height and fitted with anti-climbing devices to comply with site-specific requirements.

The high-speed opening and closing times are impossible to achieve with other drive principles. The robust construction with heavy gauge material and high tensile steel offers reliable operation and is low maintenance. As an extra security measure, there’s an override facility for manual operation available. Furthermore, the gate is quick and easy to install in all climate zones.
PPG Tyre Killers are designed to destroy vehicles trying to forcibly enter any secured area. If a vehicle attempts to break through, its tyres and axles will be destroyed.
The Tyre Killer and the modular Tyre Killer SHARK offer a high degree of protection against unauthorised entry or exit of hostile motor vehicles. If a vehicle attempts to break through, its tyres and/or axles will be destroyed depending on the model. Further progress will certainly be prevented.
Perimeter Protection Groups’ Tyre Killers can be used individually or in combination with other products to form a sluice for vehicles. The solid sharp spikes are clearly visible thanks to garish warning colours thus ensuring the stopping of approaching vehicles in good time.
The spikes will raise and block the road with a height of 215 – 450 mm, depending on the model. In lowered position our Tyre Killers are completely unobtrusive, parallel to the road. They can support wheeled vehicles with a load-bearing capacity up to bridge class SLW 60. The “plug and play” Tyre Killers are characterised by a shallow installation depth. This makes it particularly suitable for locations with limited available depth due to underground utilities.
PPG wedge barriers offer maximum security against unauthorised wheeled vehicles of all sizes and weights. They are crash-tested to internationally accepted standards and feature the lowest foundation-thicknesses in the world.
Perimeter Protection Groups’ wedge barriers present maximum security against unauthorised vehicles of all sizes and weights for highly sensitive entry points. They feature a robust construction with heavy gauge material and high tensile steel. The Wedge Barrier K12 and the Wedge II are designed to guarantee the full level of security. They can be installed as a single unit or in combination with other products (e.g. barriers, gates, tyre killers or bollards). In combination, it’s possible to realise a sluice arrangement forming a vehicle check point.
With decreased installation depth and foundation footprint, our wedges reduce installation costs significantly. This allows it to be installed in areas where foundation depths are limited due to underground utilities. Dynasystems provides a 2 metre blast resistant barrier which is ideal for compartmentalisation of tented or containerised camps to reduce the effects of indirect fire weapons such as mortars or rockets. This structure is designed to provide mitigation from blast from large detonations as well as from direct explosions. Dynasystems barriers are able to be transported and redeployed if required should a perimeter change in size or shape.

Personal Armour Protection System (PAPS)

Rapid assembly and disassembly for easy re-deployment
Easy to assemble, disassemble and move on to the next required deployment. Average set-up in five minutes in good daylight conditions, or up to 10 minutes in poor night-time conditions. On re-deployment the system can be loaded into a vehicle in less than five minutes.
